MATH OLYMPICS: RACE TO EXCELLENCE (M.O.R.E.)™
What? Maintain math skills and reinforce math foundations in a fun, anxiety free environment. Building a solar pizza oven, design and build a city, and play math jeopardy. New skills will be built as well as enforcing key concepts.
Why? Fractions, decimals, percentages, word problems, problem solving skills and integers are foundational skills for high school math success and will be heavily covered. Stay current with math concepts and get M.O.R.E. from your summer.
Who Should Enroll? All students entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade fall 2012. Students entering the 7th grade who want to accelerate through Pre-Algebra this summer and enter Algebra I in the fall should enroll in the P.A.C.E. Summer 2012 class.
When & Where?
Summer School 2012
Session 1- June 11 to June 28, Monday – Thursday, 9 AM – 1 PM
Mountainside Middle School: 11am-1pm OR
Scottsdale Education Center: 9am-11am
(Combine with Science OR Spanish class for remainder of the day)
Session 2- July 9 to July 26, Monday – Thursday, 9 AM – 1 PM
Scottsdale Education Center: 9am-11am
(Combine with Language Arts OR Science class for remainder of the day)
